This is very exciting that this is happening only 10 miles from mine and T's house!:) I'm planning on going to the revealing, but unfortunately they aren't letting any cameras or camera phones!:( Today rocked! T~ & I were very very lucky to be able to see the cast so close! FYI This episode airs November 19th. Our Extreme Family!
Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, Monarch Homes and its partners have come together to help make the final wish of one deserving father come true – Matt Koepke.

Koepke Family
Christine, Mom, 41
Derek, Son, 22
Jayna, Daughter, 20
Mitchell, Son, 17
Johanna, Daughter, 15
The Koepke family is well known throughout Dundee for their commitment to the community. Matt’s achievements can be seen at every corner of Dundee. He helped lead the restoration of the historic Dundee Mill into a museum for his community, and has helped build both the Sportsman’s Lodge and local baseball diamond.

While the family focused on the needs of the community, their own home fell into disrepair. The home, which was built by Matt’s great-grandfather, has exposed electrical wires and insulation, a leaking roof, broken windows and an attic infested with bats. Matt always figured that when the mill was complete, there would be plenty of time to work on his own home.

Tragically, he was wrong. In April, Matt was diagnosed with a metastatic melanoma. By the time of diagnosis, the cancer had already spread from under his left arm to his brain. Suddenly, it became clear that his dream of a safe home for his family might only be that – a dream.

He immediately went to work around the house, trying to make the home safe for his family, while battling the overwhelming fatigue that accompanied his chemotherapy treatments. He knew the clock was ticking – and finally it ran out.

Matt Koepke passed away on August 21, 2006 at the age of 41.

Now, Monarch Homes and Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, will help make Matt’s final dream come true. The Koepke family will be whisked away, while their home undergoes an amazing transformation in only one week’s time.
